Bolton escaped the worst of the weather on Friday and Saturday and the latest update from the Met Office indicates that the band of heavy snow forecast for today will pass further to the south.
The Amber Warning issued by the Met Office has been lifted from the Bolton area. A Yellow warning remains in place but forecast maps suggest that we will see little, if any, more snow in the area today. Forecasts can change of course and we will post another update if the forecast changes significantly.
The threat of heavy snow may have gone, but temperatures will remain around the zero mark all day with a risk of icy patches on roads and pavements/footpaths, so do please take care out there.
